Sharon is a talented graduate digital media professional, looking to enhance and refine her current skills and abilities. She is currently seeking a media-related volunteer role, work experience, or an internship, which will grant her an understanding of how the media production industry functions from within a graphic design, marketing, video production, application, or gaming environment.
After leaving high school, Sharon spent the next two decades within the IT industry as a Business Analyst specialising in Process Design, Service Management, Training and Disaster Recovery, and working for several of Australia's top 500 companies. In 1998 she started her own IT Consultancy and took on project-based consultant roles on a number of SAP and ITSM projects in Australia.
In 2008, when her health prompted her to take time out from consulting, she decided it was time to write. Three years later, in 2012, her science-fiction book series 'The Crystal Channelers' was published and featured later that year at the London Book Expo. Prompted by her publishers to generate a blog for her website, she decided to write six days a week in the voice of her major characters from the novels - this led to intensive research into several obscure and supernatural events, and people. The Oddities e-Club Magazine Newsletter was born in late 2012 and became an overnight success garnering over 72,000 subscribers in less than six months. In early 2014 I was approached by the Magloft team to become a beta magazine on their new software platform, the Oddities e-Club Magazine released twenty-four issues between 2014 and 2020.

In February 2016, Sharon was asked to host a monthly US-based radio show with Revolution Radio. Each show alternated between one-on-one interviews and a four-person panel on spiritual, supernatural or topical alternative subjects. Three years later she decided to replace the Oddities e-Club Magazine and her monthly radio show with a more accessible medium, a podcast. ‘The Open-Minded Skeptic’ podcast was launched in January 2019 and has just entered its third year of streaming on Apple iTunes, Spotify and a number of other streaming services.

In December 2020, after several requests from fans of her book series ‘The Crystal Channelers’ Sharon recorded an audio version, however, instead of uploading the audio as a book, she decided to create an experience for her audience. She approached the team at Magloft and asked if it was possible to combine a comic and audio recording together on their software platform. A new programming ‘widget’ was born, and the first book in the series was released in both podcast, and audio-magazine format in January 2021 under the umbrella title ‘Addiction to Fiction’.
Since April 2019, Sharon has been undertaking a Bachelor of Digital Media at the University of South Australia, which will be completed in April 2022. She is interested and highly motivated to bring all of her past creative works into new and more modern communication spaces, for example, gaming, video production, and stop-motion animation.
